Hi, I'm Phoebe Bell!
I've had the incredible privilege of representing Australia as a professional beach volleyball player for the past decade. In my recent years as a pro athlete, I've taken a holistic approach to performance, ensuring I am a well-rounded human to encourage freedom and performance on the court.
I have a Bachelor of Marketing degree, and am an ambassador for Cancer Council Queensland, The Good Human Factory (a mental health organisation) and Let's Keep the Ball Flying (a volleyball charity).
Throughout my career I've had the honour of competing on the international stage, securing multiple medals on the professional tour and proudly representing my country as a Youth Olympian.
The journey hasn't always been easy, but I am a huge believer in maintaining perspective throughout difficult times.
Off the court, I'm deeply passionate about maintaining good health. This includes my brand iki.you, which provides UV protective clothing that encourages preventative measures towards skin health, helping to stop long-term skin damage.
As an ambassador for Bulk Nutrients, I advocate for the importance of proper nutrition and supplementation in optimising performance. Nutrition is so important to me for optimal performance and recovery.
Beyond my athletic pursuits, I'm committed to giving back to the community and making a positive impact wherever I can. Whether I'm raising awareness for important causes or giving my time and expertise to younger athletes, I believe in using my platform to inspire others and create meaningful change.

I really believe in a well-rounded approach when it comes to nutrition! A balanced diet for me is key with a lot of variety. Absolutely I still eat chocolate and have lots of fun foods too - it is all about balance!
I don't follow a specific diet as it is not sustainable for me. I like to ensure I eat enough good food to sustain my energy demands of being a pro athlete though!

Training Schedule
Current Plan
Monday: Sand and gym.
Tuesday: Sand.
Wednesday: Gym.
Thursday: Sand.
Friday: Sand and gym.
We structure the week like this to ensure that we are having Wednesday as more of a recovery day. This allows us to train hard at the beginning of the week and the end of the week! Depending on what time of year it is, our sand sessions will look different - out of season it will be more skill based, in season it's more of a game situation.
Latest Results
Do you have any medium/long term goals you're working towards?
Yes! To enjoy the process and journey of being a professional athlete. To grow, to learn and to maintain perspective throughout what I am doing. Also, the 2025 World Championships in Australia, and the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Have you had any exceptional results in the last few years?
I am a multiple pro tour medalist! In 2016 we won the Olympic qualification tournament - this is a hugely high pressure tournament, right before the Olympic Games to qualify a sport in Australia. The older girls were the team selected to go to the Olympics but it was still an incredible moment.
