Louise Calvert, aka Lou, has been into sport and fitness from a very young age.
She's a gym owner, a new first-time mum, and has broken several burpee world records, raising thousands for charities along the way.

Heya, I'm Lou!
I truly believe movement is a privilege, and you should do what you can when you can.
I've always been into sport and fitness, playing basketball for 15 years and now working in the fitness industry for 7 years.
I own my own gym and love that I get to help others benefit from movement everyday.
I am a very kind and competitive person. Over my time in the industry I've broken three world records, and raised over $50,000 for charities.
I respect anyone trying to better themselves.

My Approach to Nutrition
To me, food is fuel. It manages your mood, your energy and your recovery. I tend to eat very similar things daily.
I'm a lover of a boiled egg - nutritious, easy and filling. I have a Protein Matrix+ shake daily, I eat a banana and/or an apple daily. I'm a huge fan of veggies and yep, I do love to eat the rainbow.
I avoid anything with gluten, dairy, or that's highly processed. I crave oranges, and my favourite cheat meal is a gluten free woodfired pizza - it just warms the soul!
Training Schedule
Current Plan
My training varies depending on what I'm training for, but generally I'm a hybrid girl. I go heavy (but not too heavy) and I love my bodyweight mobility (Zuu).
We all know I love a burpee... or a thousand!
My favourite move would have to be a kicksit, and my favourite piece of equipment is by far the ski erg.

Do you have any medium/long term goals you're working towards?
A long term goal of mine is to run from the top of Tassie to the bottom - bring it on!
Have you had any exceptional results in the last few years?
Within the last 5 years, I've broken the 60 second burpee world record, the 60 minute burpee world record, and the 24 hour burpee world record.
I entered and finished the Red Bull Defiance 150km over two days of trail running, riding and kayaking - it's one of my favourite achievements.
