But…What Is Protein Water?
Protein water powders have risen in popularity over recent years, with protein water becoming a top rating lifestyle drink of choice.
While the composition of protein water changes depending on the brand, here at Bulk Nutrients, we’ve worked hard behind the scenes to make sure our protein water powder is the best protein water!
Our protein water is packed with over 80% high-quality protein from collagen and Whey Protein Isolate (WPI), with branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and electrolytes to help supplement your lifestyle and aid in post-workout recovery.
It’s light, refreshing, easy to make and easy to drink – making it the perfect workout companion.
How is Protein Water Different to Future Whey?
We’re glad you asked! We’ve referred to Future Whey as a protein water in the past because in some ways it is – a clear protein water, flavoured and mixed with water.
Future Whey is different – it is formulated with essential amino acids, and is vegan certified, while Protein Water gets its protein from Hydrolysed Collagen Peptides and Whey Protein Isolate.

What Are The Benefits Of Protein Water?
Bulk's Protein Water keeps you hydrated during workouts and enhances recovery, all while being lightweight, refreshing, and easy to drink. This makes it the perfect partner for your training!
Have we mentioned yet that it’s low in calories, fat free and sugar free?!
If you’re looking for a delicious alternative for that mid afternoon soft drink craving, you’ve met your match with our Protein Water!
What Makes Our Protein Water Special?
Our protein water powder is fuelled with Collagen and Whey Protein Isolate.
It’s packed with Hydrolysed Collagen Peptides. Collagen has proven to be a popular supplement because it helps support skin and joint health, as well as strong nails and hair. It’s a well-researched supplement and has been found to support muscle growth and speed up recovery when taken in conjunction with strength training.
There's over 10 grams of hydrolysed collagen in every serve - making up more than 50% of the goodness that will fuel your body!
WPI is more refined than Whey Protein Concentrate, with a lower lactose, carbohydrate, and fat content, while also holding a higher protein content.
Our protein water is also high in branched-chain amino acids, or BCAAs. BCAAs are essential to stimulate further muscle growth, as they work to prevent muscle fatigue during strenuous exercise. Research has also found BCAAs to be useful in reducing delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS).
Electrolytes are also included – they’re dosed to keep you hydrated and support nerve and muscle function. Electrolytes are the perfect addition to a protein water powder because they help replace sugars and salts lost during those sweaty workouts!
What Does Protein Water Do?
Bulk Nutrients’ Protein Water is a light, refreshing, and easy to drink way to add extra protein to an already balanced diet. While protein naturally comes in many aspects of your diet, including through lean meat and poultry, fish, eggs, milk and cheese, depending on your fitness goals you may need to look at adding more protein.
The recommended daily protein intake for muscle growth is around 2 grams per kilogram of body weight daily.
Protein water adds 15 grams of protein per serve to your diet, along with the already mentioned benefits of collagen, BCAAs and electrolytes.
Protein Water, or Protein Shake?
That is up to personal preference!
Traditionally many people have enjoyed using protein powders in shakers, enjoyed as post-workout fuel, mixed in with baking, or blended in with fruits and milks to create refuelling smoothies.
Protein water, often known as clear protein, provides a more refreshing, lightweight and non-creamy option to your usual protein powder. It’s delicious with just water, or you can mix it with soda water for a bubbly hit. If you’re feeling particularly fancy, why not try mixing it with water and ice for a super summer slushie?
If you’re someone who finds themselves craving a sweet, bubbly mid-afternoon pick me up, Protein Water makes a great sugar free alternative to soft drinks or juices – but if you’re a die-hard lover of creamy flavoured protein, it might not be up your alley!
